The host hotel for Extreme 2006, the Hotel Europa, has extended the deadline for registering at conference rates - through July 14th. For information see the Hotel Page on the conference site.

Some may wish to avoid the hotels on St. Hubert near the bus terminal at Berri-UQAM, cheap–C$25–though they may be.

B&Bs are less spartan than student housing, and the hosts will have local expertise. The excellent Downtown B&B Network lists singles at C$55-$85 a night. The Montréal Tourism board has listings for bed and breakfasts, as well as listings for hotels and much other useful information.

The following student quarters are Spartan, but clean. And cheap.

Extreme Markup Languages 2006 will be held in the Hotel Europa. The Europa is already full for some nights during the conference period except for the conference block. For information on how to make a reservation see the the Hotel/Venue information on the conference site.

[2005: I just made a reservation directly through the hotel's web site and got a rate $10 (canadian) cheaper than the extreme single rate and $20 cheaper than the double rate. With a government ID, I was offered a price of $99 a night. (Last year I did that - and when I complained about the room they gave me - miniature and dark - they said that was because I got the really cheap rate. So, if you plan on spending any time in your room I suggest springing for the extra $10.)]
