Introducing Myself

Hello Everyone,

I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Ken, 26 years old, originally from Long Island, and I work for the federal government in Washington D.C. We are playing around with XML and RSS to encapsulate data and information, and my boss thought it would be useful if I plunged myself into the frigid, icy North (It's going to be 110 degrees in DC this week) to expand my markup horizons.

This is my first conference (and first business trip), so I am eager to meet people and learn. I am going alone, so if anyone is in the same boat, and is interested in meeting up at night for dinner, let me know.

Bicycling in Montreal

Montreal is bike friendly:

Montreal was rated the number one cycling city in North America for 1999 by Bicycling magazine. Over 300 km of bike routes and paths are located on the island and more than double that in the surrounding region.

One of the most popular trips is along the Lachine Canal, a paved-15 km recreation path between Old Montreal and Lachine. It forms part of the Pôle des Rapides cycling path network in southwest Montreal.
